Mr. Rohit Pathak, born on 30th October 1975, did the initial years of his schooling from St. Francis in Lucknow. He moved on to join Delhi Public School, RK Puram, and passed out from there in 1993. Always dreaming to be an engineer, he took admission in Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology as soon as he passed out of school. Being a fan of automobiles, he took up the study of Mechanical Engineering. After four years of academics and extra curricular activities, Mr. Pathak graduated from there in 1997, but not before securing a job with one of India's leading car companies.
After working for 5 years in the industry, Mr. Pathak felt the need to explore foreign lands, and also to further his education in his chosen field. He enrolled for a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It was at Lehigh University that Mr. Pathak had his first experience in teaching. As a Teaching Assistant to certain professors, he has the responsibility of taking classes twice a week for the undergraduate students. It was an enriching experience, much different from what he had been trained to do.
After graduating from Lehigh University in 2003, he worked for a year with a company in Philadelphia, before realizing that his dreams lie somewhere else.
He gave up the life in America and returned to his homeland to join SelaQui World School. Once here, he took up teaching again, and took a liking to it. One of his biggest accomplishments was to make SelaQui the first international school in the northern hills. By introducing and implementing the International Baccalaureate program at SelaQui in 2004, Mr. Pathak established himself as a leader in the education.
He took over as Headmaster of SelaQui International School in 2006, and has taken the school to greater heights in all areas since then.
